I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Why do the weekend’s seem to fly by so quickly! I like when I can get a few things accomplished, but still manage to have family time.

So, about this little Jersey dress! This dress was a Forever 21 find, for around $22.00 dollars. I normally don’t spend quite that much on one piece, but I can get a lot of wear out of this dress. I can easily pair this dress with Converse, Van’s,heels or over the knee boots when weather permits. This dress is warm, but I wanted to get some seasonal change outfits out for you all! I see tons of people transitioning. I’m not ready ūüôĀ

I adore this clutch! I found this clutch at Nordstrom a few months back. I love that it can be paired with some many items in my wardrobe! Clutches seem to make everything so much easier. I don’t have to worry about dragging around my normal handbag which is bigger and much heavier!

Weekly Workout

Good Morning!

I hope everyone has had a fantastic week! My son survived his first week of school, so everything is good in our home. We have no real plans for the weekend. I plan to work on my closet for the 100th time. Every-time I say I have no plans, I end up being busier than ever! I am so grateful that I am at the point in my journey that allows me to workout on my own. There was a time that I wouldn’t workout unless someone was pushing me to do so. Where do you¬†think you are on your journey?¬†

Anyway, I have a doctors appointment today so I had to workout on my own.

Here we go……..

Adult Acne

Hello Everyone!

So, I am well into my fourth month of treatment. My acne is virtually non-existent. For the first time in my life, my face is acne free!!! Accutane gives you kind of a false positive, as it gives everyone a matte faced finish. My doctor informed me that she can spot an Accutane user right away. I will admit that my skin has a glow of some sort. Once I have washed off my make-up, I am usually able to see all of the damage my acne has left behind ūüôĀ

I am still experiencing a ton of dryness. My skin has developed a dry rash on my arms. My eyes are really dry, but manageable. The smallest scratch will often turn into a scab, and scabs lead to scars. It’s extremely important to keep your skin hydrated. Lotions don’t work on your skin with Accutane. Creme’s are better, more expensive but, better.

During my last visit, I was seen by another doctor. Not my regular Derm. Really nice human in general. He felt as though I needed to be on Retin-A in addition to Accutane. He stated that I still had a large amount of white, and blackheads that the Retin-A would assist in eliminating. Retin-A is topical Vitamin A. Topical Retin-A has been used for years to treat acne, as well as to fade dark spots and prevent wrinkles.

Retin-A

The Retin-A has caused some dryness, but nothing that I can’t tolerate. I have noticed that my acne scaring is actually better. I didn’t have wrinkles to begin with, so I will have to report on that at a later time.¬†

Acne is such a common occurring problem. It’s an extremely annoying problem. If you are at a point of frustration, consult a Dermatologist. Don’t waste money on products that don’t work. ¬†Save your money, and speak to healthcare provider about the options available for acne. I have been on a ton of OTC and prescribed acne medications, feel free to ask me about those as well!¬†

Until next time,

Lesley

Happy Tuesday! Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Monday! My week is super busy this week. Lots of doctors appointments for my wrist, and acne. I have found that doctors appointments turn into an allll day affair. Most of the time I have to block out my entire day.

Anyway! I scored this dress during the #nsale. I have multiple colors of this little shift dress. This dress is extremely versatile! You can truly dress it up or down. I have worn other colors of this dress with flats, and a cross body for a more casual look. My wardrobe is all about versatility!

Have a beautiful day!

Weekly Workout

Good Morning!

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! This weekend was extremely busy for me. It amazes me how my weekends can fly by. I plan to prepare to get my son ready to go back to school this week. I am sure that will be a battle. Time to take away the cell phone, and get him back on a regular schedule! Kiddos seem to be married to their phones!

Anyway! I finally feel like I am back at a good fitness level with my cardio. Cardio has been a weakness of mine as of late. Being consistent with my cardio has put me back in a good place.

I started my morning with this quick workout!

This OOTD was for a doctors appointment for my wrist. I actually received really bad news, but refuse to be anything but positive. Surgery of my right wrist is in my very near future. #Staying #Positive

I love white tees! A white t-shirt can add pop to any outfit. I personally feel that its just classic. I probably own over 20 white t-shirts, and I am not embarrassed to say so. LOL! I love my American Eagle jeans at the moment. These jeans are the best! So comfortable and easy. What are some of your go to outfits?

Weekly Workout

Good Morning!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Tuesday! So, yesterday was the first time that I have ran in a Crossfit WOD in months. I have attempted to run, but ended up rowing. My hamstring has been a constant issue. A few weeks ago I started physical therapy, and it has been extremely helpful. I feel so excited that I am finally progressing!

I spent some time this morning stretching as per usual. My hamstring was especially tight this morning!

After stretching, I started my morning with this little JOLT!

Hello! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! We are braving the heat in San Antonio, Texas! I had lunch with a few of my girlfriends on Saturday, and I paired my American Eagle Tom-Girl jeans with a top I found at Forever 21! The top was $10.90! I loving having cute and simple tops! Having versatile pieces in your wardrobe keep you from shopping every time you have to go to an outing.

Valentino’s are always classic! With proper care they can last you for years. I take good care of all of my clothing, shoes, accessories and handbags. I make sure I keep my handbags on a rotating basis to lessen the wear and tear. What are a few tips you have that extend the life of your favorite items?

Hi! I hope everyone is having a fantastic week! My week is going on quite well!  My son had a few morning errands, so I threw on something that was going to be comfy and casual. After, my bestie and I took care of some beauty stuff! I LOVE these mules! They are so comfortable! I have them in black as well.

So, I found this plaid shirt at #Macy’s! This cute little shirt is a men’s shirt. I grabbed the x-small! I was looking for more of a fitted look! The color is amazing. With fashion, always be on the look out. When I buy clothing, I am not attached to any one brand. I don’t have a favorite brand of anything. I have brands I love! If I like it, and the price is reasonable….I buy it. Honestly, I don’t go around looking at people’s brand of clothing. I think we limit ourselves when we say we only wear this brand or that brand. What do you think?¬†

Ps. I’m not wearing lipstick as I am still on my journey with Accutane! My lips are so dry!¬†

Hi everyone!¬†I figured I would post an outfit that is simple and quick! A white T-Shirt, and a grey skirt. I paired this outfit with booties because that’s my style, and I love it! White tee’s are staples in my wardrobe, and neither will ever go out of style. My aunt calls clothing that¬†quickly goes out of style “Fadish”. I remember trying on clothes, and her saying “I don’t like it” its too “Fadish”. She was right¬†every time!

¬†It’s very important to incorporate pieces into your wardrobe that aren’t “trending” pieces. Once a trending piece goes out of style then what? I feel that “boho” and “fringe are trending hardcore right now. ¬†I adore the trend, but it’s just that…a trend. I think I have 2 items from this recent trend. The two items I purchased are neutral, and versatile.¬†

I have had a few questions about my watch, and if it’s currently “trending”. I have seen a few people wear Michele time pieces, but I purchased mine because the quality and craftsmanship. I’m definitely not going to purchase a watch based upon what is trending. I need to love it! As far as wearing gold with silver, step out of the 90’s y’all.
