Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! So, all black everything! I have paired black pieces with a few outfits to give everyone a few ideas. Most of my outfits are using the same Moto jacket. A Moto jacket can do many things to your outfit. I use mine to dress up an outfit, or for simple casual outings. Best investment EVER!

I went through a stage that I call the mom stage. What I mean by the mom stage, is I applied very little effort to myself. I feel these feelings come from not having confidence in our clothing or skin. Being confident doesn’t mean you have to buy all new clothing. It simply means to apply more effort in your daily routine.

Most people or shall I say other “mom’s” are quick to make comments about a person who  takes care, and pride in their dress and appearance. AKA jealous people. They have nothing else in their life to talk about, which is sad.

Be confident and own your style, and size!

Happy Friday!

I hope everyone had an amazing week! This week seemed to fly by so quickly. I made us of this by catching up, and planning some new looks for ya’ll! I am an extremely practical person. When I take photo’s of an ootd, I actually wore that outfit! LOL! Would you believe me if I told you that I use to shy away from the color black? I did in the past, but no more! My style has transformed over the last few years, as everyone’s does. The key to maintaining a solid wardrobe is having versatile pieces. A vast majority of the things I wear are neutrals, with no print. I feel that these pieces can last me for many seasons to come.

Our week is almost done! I feel like the week just started! But, I am always down for the weekend. 

I am extremely happy that people can come to Lesley and Eve as a source for their workouts! Following along gives us a sense of accountability.

I had a comment about incorporating weights. Weights can be added to most exercises. There is no heavier weight than your own body weight. *Depending on your goal*

Hello everyone!

The weather is Texas has been crazy per usual! I am kinda of jealous of some of the photo’s I see of people wearing pretty scarves, and long coats! Then I remember how much I dislike the cold. LOL!

Anyway, I am headed to NYC this weekend, and I am SUPER excited! The weather in NYC seems to be in the 50’s so that’s cold for this Texas gal! Honestly, I don’t really know what to pack! As of right now, I have a ton of options all over my room and attempting to strategically eliminate the outfits. I will do my best to post pictures of my adventure to NYC, and the surrounding areas!

Good Morning!  Happy Veterans Day! 

It’s Wednesday! This week seems to be flying by! I have been pretty busy this week, so I’m sure this is the reason I feel this week is moving at the speed of light. 

This week I have focused on eating only when I’m hungry instead of at specific meal times. I feel that this has helped me feel full longer, and not watch the clock for my next meal. 

How is everyone fairing this week with the workouts?

I have scaled back the weight I lift in Crossfit to 60%, and I am going to drop from 60% to 50%. My body doesn’t recover like it use too. Pushing ourselves further than we should can cause injury. If we become injured, then we can’t workout at all. I feel its important to find a good balance. How do you find balance with your workouts? 

In any event! Lets slow it down some this morning, but not too much!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Tuesday morning! I want to keep the weekly workouts updated more often as we begin to approach Thanksgiving! The holidays are a difficult time for most people. But doesn’t have to be a difficult time for us! Consistency is the key to success, and obtaining the result that you want. Remember to always do what works for you and your body. 

Keep pushing ya’ll! Results are not accomplished in a day or overnight!

Today I’m discussing a few current events, fashion trends, and holiday weight gain! 

Weather

We have experienced a ton of rain in the Schertz/SA area! Many areas being flooded. Flooding in general is a touchy subject. It’s touchy because some people don’t have flood insurance coverage.  I slightly remember my insurance agent quickly skimming over that endorsement, and informing me of the higher price tag other than the actual coverage. The cost can be extremely pricey.  Having piece of mind may be worth the price tag. 

Beauty 

We are finally experiencing cooler weather in Texas, with cooler weather often means dry skin. On Saturday my skin was so dry that it was peeling. It’s funny because, I had no idea I was peeling like a snake….and no one told me. LOL!  People often feel that saying something is mean or taboo. I would have said, girl whats up with your face, you’re peeling bad. That’s just me though! It wasn’t until I peeped in the mirror and noticed. The wind along with the cold wasn’t agreeing with my skin. 

Immediately upon returning home, I washed my face with Kiehl’s Raw Earth Deep Pore Daily Cleanser. Having a quality cleanser is paramount. Don’t skimp out of your skin care routine. I have found that this cleanser works well while on Accutane.  After cleansing my face, I moisturized with Cetaphil moisturizer. This moisturizer is fairly inexpensive compared to other brands, and delivers immediate results. Only apply a small amount! 

I am super strict about skincare. I wear sunscreen EVERYDAY (Clarins) with or without make-up. I don’t have any signs of aging on my face…(my opinion) 🙂

 If you’re not taking the necessary steps to take care of your skin, it will SHOW! Never go to bed with an unclean face, and never ever ever sleep in your make-up. I wash my face, apply a moisturizer, and then apply Retin-A Micro on top. Retin-A is no doubt the best kept secret! It’s a topical form of vitamin A, and it helps with sun spots, scars and fine lines and wrinkles.

What’s trending!

Lately I have noticed a ton of people blogging, or wearing over the knee boots. Myself included! Find a pair that you like, and wait for it to go on sale at Macy’s. Don’t pay full price!  Pick a pair that you can use for years to come. I am not a fan of shoes with patterns. This includes animal print. Animal prints look amazing on some people, but not this gal!  Most of my shoes are nude, grey, black or brown. I have found extreme success with Steve Madden shoes. With proper storage, you can have shoes for years!

Don’t pay 25-50 dollars for a scarf! Unless you really love it! I found this dupe, (click here) on Amazon for $8-9 dollars. I have amazon prime so I didn’t have to pay for shipping. I received it in a week!

Holiday’s and Weight gain

The holidays are upon us! Have a plan to succeed in place. Don’t wait until January to start weight-loss, and fitness goals! Start today! I see tons of food posts on Instagram/FB, and it will only get more tempting as the holidays approach.

My goal for the holiday season is to not gain any weight! Not even 1 pound. My mind is ready, set, and go to accomplish this mission. What will be your plan? Post your plan for the upcoming holiday season in the comment section! 

Weekly Workout

Good Morning! 

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Are ya’ll ready for our Weekly Workout?!

The weather in Schertz/San Antonio was wonderful yesterday! Saturday began with a ton of rain!  I spent a good part of my Saturday volunteering at a Crossfit Comp, then out to dinner with friends to celebrate huge changes in my life! The athletes who participated in the POC4 Comp were amazing! Especially the women! I don’t think I could ever lift half the weight they were lifting! 

Anyway, back to my “Lesley’s” reality. LOL! My reality is lifting a moderate amount of weight to sculpt and tone my body. I am a cardio FANATIC! I love cardio. Over the last few months, cardio has really helped slim, and tone my thighs. I owe my smaller thighs to the elliptical machine, and my slow/low walk on the treadmill. It’s boring as all get out y’all, but it works! 

Big News!!!!

In January, Lesley and Eve will offer Health Coaching! All coaching will be done, over the phone, Skype, FaceTime or in person if you live in the area!

Sometimes we need someone to point us in a good direction, and keep us there! I will discuss meal planning, exercise routines, dressing for your body type, and over all health and wellness! The list of things I plan to cover is about a mile long!

 I obtained my health coach certification a few months back, and I am just about ready to start taking clients! I have worked in the healthcare field for many years, so my experience is vast.
